Out of the mist
This painting emerged intuitively but once it arrived, I realised it was about an experience of the moors a few days earlier, when a fog descended while I was out walking. As I came down from the moor and looked back, I could just see the outlines of a wall and a fence. It is also a painting about memory and about the things we recall and the things we forget.
